When we give you a price on a roof, the bid price will never change. In fact, in the history of Nailed It Roofing, we have never raised the price after starting the job — ever! We know that it can be stressful thinking the roofing company might try upselling you on this or that. With Nailed It, you can rest easy knowing you are in great hands. We pride ourselves on quoting the worst-case scenario, with all the extras on the very first quote. That way, you know upfront what it will cost.
You might be surprised that a lot of roofing companies will use the same subcontractors to perform all of their work. That means the crew that shows up to roof the house could be from a totally different company — not the company you selected. A lot of times, the deposit that they require upfront is their cut of the job, and when the job is done, you will feel like you somehow got cheated!
Ask your contractor what brand they are using on your roof. If the answer is Pabco, Iko, or even a low-grade line of Owens Corning, RUN! (These are brands that house flippers and housing developments use in order to increase profits and lower material costs).
Did you know that depending on which warranty you choose from your roofer, the manufacturer of that shingle will require additional steps and extra cautionary measures in order to offer that warranty? Here at Nailed It Roofing, each one of my guys is trained to install each and every roof exactly the same — to the highest warranty level required by the manufacturer, regardless of whether an additional warranty is purchased.
Miami-Dade County, FL, and Orange County, CA, have the toughest requirements in the world for ensuring that the underlayment, starter drip edge, rake metal, flashings, and ridge caps are installed to code. At Nailed It, we have adopted these as a standard practice.
Did you know that most roofing companies use credit accounts, and when they do, the delivery address (your address) is used as temporary collateral at the supplier? That means even if you paid a deposit or paid in total, those shingles and other materials are not paid for until 60 to 90 days after installation. At Nailed It Roofing, we do not use credit accounts. You may verify this with any major roofing supplier in the local area. Nailed It Roofing pays for everything upfront, eliminating the risk to you and your property.
We want you to be happy with your roof and comfortable with the hiring process. That is why we have eliminated the deposit requirement. Once we wrap up the job and the roof looks great, we will get paid.
Wait, why is this a good thing for you, the client? When a roofing contractor cheats on his taxes, what else will they cheat on? You guessed it — your roofing project! If a contractor lies to the government, they will absolutely lie to you. Nailed It Roofing is here for the long haul, so rest easy knowing that our warranties hold their weight.
Silicone and caulking cover up a multitude of sins when it comes to roofing, but it only lasts 5–7 years. Most companies offer a 5-year or 7-year warranty. At Nailed It, we offer a 10-year workmanship warranty just to prove that the work will last! Combined with our material warranty of up to 60 years, we’ve got you covered.
Even if you do not choose us for your roofing project — please know that you have a friend in the roofing business! I am available if you need me to look over a contract, if you have a family member or loved one out of state that needs to chat about the process over the phone, or explain what to look for in a contractor. If you ever have a small issue like a dripping gutter or a leaky roof flashing, and it is a small issue that can be fixed quickly, we can take care of it for free — and we mean it!
